Description
Quantitative Biological Methods (QBM) is both a lecture- and laboratory-based course, designed to teach students the molecular biology techniques used in biomedical research. The QBM lecture covers the principles, theories, and applications of many established molecular techniques, as well as relevant newer technologies. The book takes a historical approach by introducing the questions raised by early scientists, the tools researchers invented to test their hypotheses and establish theories, and the modern molecular approaches that have replaced many early techniques. The laboratory provides students hands-on experience with many of the techniques introduced in class.
