Description
This book focuses onthesurvey technology, post-processing technology, mapping technology and scientific application ofthesubmarine topography and geomorphology in detail. High-resolution submarine geomorphology is a frontier branch ofmarine geology and marine surveying and mapping, which provides a direct basis tostudy theseabed surface, tounderstand thetectonic movement and submarine evolution. In thepast two decades, high-resolution submarine geomorphology withhigh-precision multi-beam echo sounding, side-scan sonar and sub-bottom profiler as themajor techniques, is developing very quickly and is one ofthefrontiers ofinternational marine science and technology. These high techniques promote thetraditional submarine geomorphology tohigh-resolution and quantitative research. At present, high-resolution submarine geomorphology is widely used in thedelimitation ofthecontinental shelf, theinternational seabed resources survey, marine engineering and marine military applications. In order tofacilitate readers tounderstand how toacquire and apply scientific research based onsubmarine topographic data, it highlights thecombination oftheory, technology and scientific application. This book is useful as a reference forprofessional and technical personnel in related fields and also as a textbook forboth graduate and undergraduate students as well.Typham this is the title: High-resolution Seafloor Survey and Applications
